VENUE DETAILS
The venue information will be shared with attendees once the team has had the oppportunity to finalize the attendee list.
**Please note that the location of the Camp Mischief venue is expected to be kept confidential and only discussed with other attendees. **
WATER
Please note that our venue is not on a city water line.
While the venue does have enough water for showers, flushing toilets, etc., it does not have enough extra water for people to fill their trailers, etc.
Anyone with a trailer will need to fill their water tank before they arrive at the venue, as they will NOT be able to do so at the venue itself.
All event attendees will need to bring whatever water with them that they will need for drinking, doing dishes, etc.
There is not enough potable water at the venue to supply all of our attendees for the weekend, as they are not on a city water line.
SHOWERS
The venue does have flush toilets and showers, so big yay! Please note however that the showers are coin showers and take loonies.
While the store at the venue will be available to make change for you for using the showers, the store will only be open at specific times,
which will be posted. Please plan ahead by bringing loonies for the weekend or by getting change for the showers when the store is scheduled to be open.
CAMPING
At the venue, there are limited powered trailer spots available, which we will be assigning to specific campers. Some of these powered spots are 15 amp and some are 30 amp.
If you are bringing a trailer, RV, or other camping set up that requires power, we need your help! To help us ensure we give the best fit of spots to people, please email us with:

COOKING
There is a large BBQ and grill available for communal use at the lodge at Center Camp.
Please make sure to clean up after yourself and take everything with you when you are done using the BBQ.
Please note this will not be available for use Sunday morning as the Camp Mischief team will be preparing for the Bruises and Berries Brunch.
FIRE PITS
Please note that there are two communal fire pits on site at the venue. All firewood is included for the weekend, so you don't have to worry about bringing your own or buying any!
- One fire pit is a communal fire pit that is in a covered gazebo. This is great for when the weather is damp, but of course can be used throughout the weekend no matter the weather. Please note that as this fire pit is more enclosed, there will be no smoking or vaping allowed inside the gazebo at this fire pit or within 15 feet of the covered fire pit.
- The second fire pit is a communal fire pit that is uncovered. It is on the other side of the field from the gazebo. This fire pit may be used at any time by any of the attendees, but it is expected that the last person remaining at this fire pit will be responsible for the proper extinguishing of the fire.
Please note that no other actual fire pits are allowed on site. The exception to this rule is that attendees are allowed to use personal propane fire pits at their own trailer sites, provided that they are set up in such a way that they do not burn the grass at all (must not be directly on the grass) and they are never left unattended.
SWIMMING HOLE
There is a small swimming spot near the event location, which is a very short drive away. There are a few important things to keep in mind about this awesome piece of information.
- The venue does have a lockable gate at their entrance, which we will be using for the event. We will be providing the code to attendees and attendees will be responsible for locking the gate behind themselves at all times.
- This swimming spot is a public space and not an event space. It is also a family friendly space. This means it is imperative to be vanilla when you are visiting this area! Any behaviour that puts our relationship in jeopardy with our venue or the locals will not be tolerated by the event. Please keep this in mind and act accordingly. (Please also keep in mind that if you have been having loads of fun at the event and have some decent bruises on your body, you may want to wear a t-shirt or something that covers them when going swimming.)
- The sitting area at the swimming spot is not very large and at a bit of an angle. You may want to consider bringing water shoes, as there are some rocks, etc. in the river. Access to the river does require you to climb down an embankment to the water, so if you have mobility issues, please consider going with someone who can assist you.
- Lastly, if you think you may want to go splash in the water to cool off during the weekend, don't forget to bring your swimsuit!
- There is a second, slightly larger swimming area a bit further away, so please let us know if you want directions or details on that one. It is a public area frequented by families.
EARLY CAMPING THURSDAY
The organizers have secured the location for the Thursday evening ahead of the weekend, so that we can arrive ahead of time for set up and organization, etc.
This means there is the potential opportunity for campers to arrive on the Thursday night to start their weekend off a little earlier, however, that opportunity does come with a few strings...
1. Anyone who wishes to arrive for the weekend on the Thursday instead of the Friday will need to pay an extra $50 that will go towards our venue costs that we incurred for booking the extra day.
2. Anyone who wishes to arrive on the Thursday will also need to put in some volunteer time sometime on the Thursday and/or Friday to help us set up for the event. While we do need some help with some physical labour items such as setting up party tents and the dungeon, please note that not all the volunteer needs are of a hugely physical nature, as we will also need help with things like name tags, registration supplies, etc.
Please email us if this opportunity is something you are interested in.
You will also need to bring a government issued photo ID and will need to sign our waiver to attend the event.
TRAVEL SAFETY
There are actually a fair number of deer and other wildlife around the area, so please be aware of that and on the lookout as you drive to the site.
